The Job Family Business Engineering (JF BE) has developed a global career framework as first mover at Credit Suisse IT based on the international standard BABOK.

The so called holistic JF BE career framework encompasses the whole employee lifecycle from recruiting through career development to human capital management. Furthermore the framework supports organizational development including the development of the BE workforce at Credit Suisse. The career framework builds on a comprehensive skills portfolio covering technical / methodological, business, IT and personal effectiveness / soft skills.

The presentation shall explore the JF BE career framework by explaining the skills portfolio and all individual dimensions (e.g. recruiting) to the audience. The presentation shows how the Business Engineering roles fit into the career framework. Individual examples from global pilots shall support the audience in better understanding of the flexibility and the benefit of the framework. A survey among selected members of the Swiss IT senior management showed a strong support and identified priorities; selected results of the survey shall be presented to the audience.
